This BMW 850i appears in an episode of the TV Show Wheeler Dealers, in this episode Mike and Ed are after a BMW 840 to restore. This is the first car Mike views in the program, and is the larger BMW 850 - however he does not purchase the vehicle due to the poor state it is in when he views it (car does not start (owner states "fuel lines are gone"), laquer peel on roof and boot lid and a blow in the exhaust). It would seem that shortly before this episode aired (25th May 2010) the car was re-tested but failed on 19 points and was likely parted out or scrapped.
